Being Like Christ

Victory over sin is being like Christ. The Bible is full of the principles, sentiments, and commands to be perfect “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect”. Matt 5:48. Just as sure as we are living in the last remaining chapters of the Bible and the end of time, all that we have read, heard, been admonished about in God’s word and the spirit of prophecy that has come to pass, the latter rain, sealing, Sunday law crisis, endtime deceptions of every kind, second coming will definitely happen as prophets have declared they will. God says in Amos 3:7 “Surely the Lord God will do nothing but, he revealeth his secret to his the servants the prophets.” In our journey to be like Christ we have a work to do as God has a work to do. God does the changing as we continually and daily submit and obey his word. “Not one of us will ever receive the seal of God while our characters have one spot or stain upon them. It is left with us to remedy the defects in our characters, to cleanse the soul temple of every defilement. Then the latter rain will fall upon us as the early rain fell upon the disciples on the Day of Pentecost.” 5T 214 Here is one of many statements with a very familiar sentiment that if our characters do reflect Christ fully we will not be sealed and if we are not sealed we will not receive the latter rain and it is left up to us to crucify self daily submit to God’s will and allow him to wrought a change in our spiritually wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked lives.
